Lars Hernquist is a world expert in cosmological simulations of galaxy formation and evolution. He has been involved in several large projects, including Illustris, IllustrisTNG, and MilleniumTNG. Lars is primarily interested in the role of stellar and AGN feedback in shaping the present day population of galaxies. Today, he is proud to facilitate an active and socially vibrant group.
Congratulations to Dr. Jesse Han on successfully defending his thesis on September 22, 2025.
Hats off to Dr. Gus Beane on successfully defending his thesis on March 28, 2025.
Congrats to Paola Domínguez Fernández who is starting her new job as a Professor at the Institute of Nuclear Science (ICN-UNAM),
